Start
Right click my computer
Click manage
Then click disk management in the left panel
From there you would right click the drive and click shrink volume, then choose how much to shrink it by. After that, you could right click the unallocated partition and make it an extended partition. Just choose how much space you want it to have with would be the other 25%. Then just boot up with the disk in the drive and startup the installation.

I leave this as the second choice because I never really installed windows 98 recently and can't remember if you could do this, but just pop the disk in and when it asks you, you can create the partitions you need. If you already have 1 partition for the entire drive, you could delete it when it asks and create 2 on the spot, or if you dont want to delete that partition, use the 1st option above to shrink it, then repeat this process to make the second partition.
You can prepare the drive with the Win98 install disc but you cannot partition it without a Disk Manager CD. They used to come with a new HD. I checked the Internet and Disk Manager is not available for download anymore. Check Ebay.
I highly recommend you use at least XP for your OS. Windows98 is a pain in the *** to get the drivers for and if you don't know how the drivers seem impossible to install.

Please explain the steps required to prepare the drive so that it will have two partitions. The first must be 75% of the disk space and the second must be 25% of the disk space.
