Where do the people who upload videos on youtube get the videos from?

Well, you can get them from DVDs, you can record them from TV, you can make them with your own camera.
Maybe you should give yourself a project... make a video with your webcam and upload it to youtube. It's not rocket science.

Well the people that are putting videos of shows up aren't supposed to... it's copyrighted. Musicians upload their own music videos (and why people find the need to upload a music video that is already up is beyond me). I usually watch original videos because those are the people that deserve the views, not the people uploading TV shows.
