I suggest you to try using PartedMagic, a minimal liveCD intended for manipulating partitions and much more. You just have to download it, burn it on a CD like you did with Ubuntu and then run it live: then just open Gparted and delete the windows partition (which is the NTFS-formatted one). I am not sure how you can make it sync with your windows live status, but if you type into google 'tweet deck' and download it. This lets you update twitter and faceboook at the same time. It also shows you the people that you are following's updates too.

I want to remove Windows Vista from my computer, which has Windows Vista and Linux Ubuntu installed. I want to remove Vista, so that only Linux is available. How can I do this?New and used mac laptop, Computers Networking on eBay USA.
Simply format the drive or partition that Vista is installed on. You should be able to do this through Ubuntu, that way you can make that drive or partition the same file system as your current configuration (ext2 or ext3)
Before you do this check your menus to see if there is a program to create your own set of recovery CDs and make them. That way if you decide to go back to Vista you can do it with no problems. Once done just boot the Ubuntu CD and have it install, but this time choose the whole hard drive. It's that simple.
