So i downloaded a newer version of itunes so i could import my music into my newer ipod. But when i downloaded it, almost 75% of my music was deleted. Why did this happen and is there any way to fix it?
did it delete it from: your itunes library, your ipod, or from your computer.
If the songs are gone from your library, they may still be on your computer. Browser for your files and the import them into itunes
If the songs are gone from your ipod (should only be if they're gone from your library), this happens if your sync is set to automatic. Itunes will remove any songs from your ipod that aren't in your itunes library. The only way to reverse it is to reimport the songs into your itunes library then get it to put them back onto your ipod. In future, make sure your ipod sync is set to manual (not available for shuffles)
If they're gone from your harddrive, you'll have to get them from the original source, e.g rip them from your cds. I don't use the itunes sotre, but i've heard if you lose your files you have to repurchase them :(
